The used Ford Escape is one of the most coveted compact crossovers on the road. Choose between three trim models - the S, SE, and Titanium. All are stocked with an excellent array of features. The rearview camera makes backing up a snap. The Sync voice command system means you can access infotainment features without taking your eyes off the road ahead. Infotainment features optimize smartphone integration. Use keyless entry and ignition to save time in the parking lot.

Three engine options contribute to the Ford Escape's powerful performance. The base 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine produces 168 horsepower and provides a smooth, comfortable ride. The turbocharged, 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine boosts output to 178 horses. Finally, a turbocharged, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine offers 240 horsepower and a ride that feels more like that of a V6 engine. No matter which engine you choose, both front- and all-wheel drive are available. All engines are paired for a six-speed automatic transmission that balances a sporty ride with impressive comfort.

2nd Gen Escape

These models were impressively refined, both inside and out. All three trims - the XLS, XLT, and Limited - proved popular, thanks to their impressive range of comfort and convenience models. Luxuries like leather upholstery maximized passenger comfort. Conveniences, including navigation and an automated parallel-parking system, helped drivers get through the day with ease.

All models could be equipped with either front- or all-wheel drive. In the early years of this generation, shoppers had access to the 153-horsepower four-cylinder and 200-horsepower V6 engines from the previous generation. In 2009, the Escape engines were retooled to increase output. The four-cylinder engine produced 171 horses and the V6 increased output to 240 horses.
